The premise of this story, told from the male point of view rather than they typical female point of view, intrigued me enough to purchase this title. Please don't get suckered like I did. While the story could have been fantastic, it just simply wasn't and isn't worth your time.The story needs an editor, a good one, desperately. There are contextual and grammatical issues from the beginning to the end. These issues are so regular, I felt like I was reading a draft, rather than what is supposed to be a finished piece.
The sex scenes are written from what can only be the experience level of a teenager. They are not at all engaging, erotic or very kinky. I felt like someone who had never had sex watched a couple of porno films and wrote down what they saw--without really knowing what was going on.
The main characters are one dimensional and without substance. Their interaction and conversations are childish and unbelievable at the very best.
This title is definitely not worth what I paid for it (and I would have given this same review even if I had gotten the title for free) and I won't be reading anything else from this author. I do not recommend this book. Keep looking. It, unfortunately, shouldn't be hard to find something better.

The blurb of this book was so appealing and seemed somewhat edgy…I couldn’t wait to read it. I’m not sure what I can say that won’t make me look like a prude or a buzz-kill but I finished reading this book because I had hopes it would get better. There were fleeting moments that I was REALLY engaged but most of the time I found myself skimming some of the pages.
This is what I struggled with…
1. The intimate moments were plentiful but the dialogue didn’t connect with the actual act which made it feel forced.
2. The characters were under developed making them seem one-dimensional.
3. Coop is tough for me to describe but the best I can come up with is that he grew a vagina relatively early on in the book.
4. Mia, Coop’s love interest is barely in the story.
5. The HEA seemed unrealistic and trust me, I can suspend my disbelief but even this was too much, even for me. If you are going to write fiction…make me believe it.
I love a good steamy read and I applaud authors that push the boundaries but it wouldn’t be fair for me to compare this book with others that I have read that are an A+ in the erotica genre and so I won’t.
Like I always say, just because I wasn’t able to connect with the story…doesn’t mean that it couldn’t be your next obsession.
If I’m going to be honest, my feelings on this book were mixed. Liam Cooper, or Coop as most people call him, is a character that I liked *most* of time. However, I honestly lost all respect for him as I continued to read the story.
Coop is someone who shies away from relationships. He had been burned by his wife and best friend when he was younger, so sex and no strings attached is really quite perfect for him. Not to mention it pays for his Mother’s care. However, when he reconnects with Mia, his first crush, he begins to yearn for something more. Which is great, right? Wrong! I mean, seriously! How do you continue to sleep with countless women, even if it is your job, when you are flirting with, and trying to pursue, a woman that you actually care for??
Another thing that bugged me was the fact that I didn’t really feel a connection to Mia. To me their story seemed a bit rushed. I also found myself liking Coop’s friend Beth more than I liked the actual Heroine of the story. What can I say? I felt like she had more personality, and that’s what I’m drawn to.
This book is definitely an erotica, that’s for sure. The sex scenes are steamy, and quite varying. It’s one of those books that you might feel guilty about if you’re reading in public. Unless you’re shameless; in that case, you rock! Overall, I would give the book a 3 star rating. I liked it, I just didn’t love it. I would have liked to have seen more focus on the actual story, and not just the super-hot sex scenes.
